Job responsibilities
- Knowledge of public health communicable disease control, planning and policy development, analyzing data, concise reporting, and surveillance of communicable diseases;
- Outbreak investigation, data interpretation and basics skills;
- Understand the general on food safety value chain and food safety regulations;
- Understanding the health sector functioning system and the decentralized structures;
- Proven experience in detection and investigation of food- and waterborne outbreaks;
- Knowledge of communicable disease epidemiology and surveillance;
- Knowledge of tools, particularly analytical epidemiological tools, for outbreak investigation;
- Knowledge to develop measurable objectives, operational plans and measurable indicators/targets for public health programs and project;
- Ability to synthesize scientific factors toward strategic decision making;
- Knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan Health system;
