According to the White House, President Trump won’t meet Vladimir Putin “in the immediate future.” The decision followed a tense call between U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who flat-out rejected America’s proposal to “freeze” the current battle lines in Ukraine.
Lavrov’s response was vintage Kremlin: “An immediate ceasefire in Ukraine would mean only one thing most of it would remain under Nazi rule.” Translation Moscow still wants regime change in Kyiv
