Projects that are Closing in Rwanda
Land O'Lakes Venture37 (Venture37) is dedicated to strengthening local agriculture and helping communities around the world build economies.
Announcement of Project Closures
It is with sincere gratitude that Land O'Lakes Venture37 announces the official closure of the following USAID-funded projects in Rwanda:
Orora Wihaze Project (ended March 31, 2025, as planned)
Cooperative Resilience and Equity (CORE) Project
Farmer-to-Farmer Food Inclusive Project (F2F)

Land O'Lakes Venture37 Rwanda Projects
In Rwanda, Venture37 implemented several significant projects aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and food security, strengthening cooperatives, and creating sustainable livelihoods for farmers and local communities. Projects that are closing are:
Feed the Future (FTF) Orora Wihaze (Raise Animals for Self-Sufficiency)
Operating from October 1, 2019, through March 31, 2025. This initiative focused on developing an inclusive and profitable market to increase the availability, access, and consumption of animal-sourced foods in Rwanda. The project targeted districts in the West, North, South, and East Provinces of Rwanda.
Cooperative Resilience and Equity Activity (CORE)
Started in October 2023, CORE fostered sustainable cooperatives in Rwanda and Zambia. CORE focused on enhancing the economic and social resilience of agricultural cooperatives.
Farmer-to-Farmer Inclusive Food Systems (F2F-IFS)
Farmer to Farmer in Rwanda worked to increase productivity and profitability in local food systems by providing targeted volunteer technical assistance. F2F-IFS aimed to generate sustainable economic growth in agriculture and promote people-to-people exchanges that strengthen global connections.
Looking Ahead
As we bring these important initiatives to a close, Venture37 is working on a smooth closure process.
