"My advice would be for him to focus, train, and concentrate on his art. Because there will be many distractions. And I'm sure there are some right now. I've seen in the newspapers that he was with a woman much older than him, or something like that, on vacation, and everyone's talking about it. Everything he does is going to be a topic of conversation. If you go on vacation with an older woman, make sure you're only going with your mother! Because at this point, whatever happens, it'll be talked about and there will be many distractions."
Freddy Adu, now 36, was one of the prodigies in his days and expected to be a big star for the US national team. At 16 years 7 months 20 days, he was the youngest debutant in the national team. He even debuted in the MLS at 14, and signed a 1M€ deal with Nike. However, making his mark in Europe proved futile. He failed to convince Sir Alex Ferguson, and went on to play for 14 clubs, then became clubless at 33. He admits that , as a youngster, he committed many errors that affected him.
